Kia ora fellow members,
Writing articles isn’t my forte, I’m more a verbal face to face communicator! But I’ll give it a nudge.
Firstly, I wish to express my thanks for the vote in confidence from the membership in the new Committee. We are working through getting emails assigned, sorting passwords, bank account signatory updated etc, so several hoops to jump through and complete.
The new line up looks like this:
- President – Sheryl Hamilton
- Vice President – Ivan Bruce (standing in for a term of one year)
- Secretary – Ange Robinson
- Treasurer – John Coplestone
- Club Captain – Glen Hodges
- Committee 1 – Don Paterson
- Committee 2 – Clarissa Benton (Equipment Officer)
- Committee 3 – Andrea Jupp
- Committee 4 – Glenys Grant (Trips Co-ordinator)
- Committee 5 – Phil (Charlie) Andrews (Lodge Maintenance)
I hope you caught up with the change of dates for Rope & Rock, now the Saturday 13th April through to the Sunday 14th April. Best to stay at the lodge on the Friday night. (Don’t forget to sign the overnight book and put TAC by your name).
We had a joint venture with NZAC – Taranaki Section on Thursday 28th March 7.30pm. Guest speaker was Alex Buisse, a pro climber & mountaineer photographer.
If you have any ideas for club nights, trips to be taken on the maunga, or notice something requiring attention at the lodge, please get in touch. This is “our” club, and everyone has a voice, so drop me a email or give me a call – I am open to exploring suggestions to grow TAC in a fresh directions.
