President’s report Kia ora! Back from my travels, not everything went to plan sadly, freak snow locked us in for 5 days – couldn’t go up or couldn’t go down! The weather has its own agenda which didn’t align with the trip plan. Oh well, just have to attempt another adventure another time! Thanks to the Executive Committee for keeping things ticking over! President’s Report – June 2026 Kia ora team, I am pleased to share that the roof project has been completed! A small team of blokes plus me (as the kitchen staff) stayed at the lodge the previous night, and we assembled all the screws & rubber washers. The next morning the weather was perfect, so harnesses went on; ladders were roped for safety and away they went. President’s Report Kia ora team,As I type the power to the lodge should just about be restored! One of our trusty life members is going up to the lodge tonight to check everything is functioning properly again. Thanks Stephen! Currently I’m away in Aussie swanning around in the warm sunshine hence this report will be brief.
