TAC Bake Off 2017

Due to the number of Scones eaten at the TAC Scone bake off, it’s time to plan another bake off!   This time not limited to Scones it is open to any item that can be baked in the Lodge’s oven. Can you do better than this? If so, be at Tahurangi Lodge on Saturday 16 July for the great TAC Scone Bake Off. Sweet Scones and Savoury Scones are all welcome and will be judged and consumed. Obituary – Russell Braddock

Russell Braddock The Kiwi mountaineering community was hit this week of the sad news Russell Braddock, a well known and respected mountain guide, was killed in an avalanche in France. Russell came from Taranaki, and learnt his mountain skills as a member of the TAC in the late ‘70’s and early 80’s. Originally trained as an accountant, he decided to “Live the Dream” and pursue a career in mountain guiding, to the envy of many of us who knew him.
