A big thank you to all those members who helped out with the Open Climb last weekend. You all play an important part in the success of the day, and although we had to turn back due to the inclement weather, the participants were so very grateful that we made the decision to go ahead and give it our best shot. Many told us that they would have been hugely disappointed if the event had been cancelled altogether. We’d been expecting 180 odd to show up before the weather situation made itself obvious, and on the day 137 people left Tahurangi Lodge to head for the summit, so some pretty determined people! We’ve had some really neat feedback which you can read elsewhere in this Bulletin.
Just a reminder, the club’s AGM is this Thursday 2 March.
As well as the election of officers, we’ll also be presenting the club trophies. We need a quorum of 20 so please come along! This is your opportunity to have a say in how the club will be run for the next 12 months.
