From the President’s desk We celebrated 90 years of having a structure on the side of Taranaki Maunga in our usual style with lots of good kai & laughter. And by the time you read this we will have had Mid-Winter Christmas & Movie Night at the lodge – always a winner! We are so blessed to have a fantastic facility that allows us to host memorable events. From the President’s Desk Kia Ora Koutou, We have been teased with a bit of snow showing up and melting away just as quick! Be aware the conditions on the maunga are now changing quickly, so make sure you have those extra layers & that wet weather gear in your pack! Our last big job of this year has been completed! From the President’s desk President’s Report April 2025 Time stops for no one and nor does the rain currently it seems! Fingers crossed these weather extremes that we have experienced this year will bring a heavy dumping of snow this season! As the new committee settles into the different allocated roles, the usual annual administrative things tick over. From the President’s Desk Tēnā Koutou Autumn is in the air, the maunga had a very small sprinkling of snow overnight! Fingers crossed we might be in for a load of snow this winter. The AGM has been and gone with a few new faces joining the executive committee – welcome to Janica, Katyana & Rachel who has taken on the role of Trips Co-Ordinator. You may notice next time you’re at the lodge that the deck maintenance has been completed. The boys lifted the deck, removed the rust, cleaned up all the metal brackets, applied special anti-rust coating to […]
