Taranaki Weekend Day Hikes September & October 2016

These Saturday or Sunday day hikes are aimed to provide regular opportunities to improve your snow craft skills and meet other club members. The hikes are adhoc and will be announced approx mid-week via our facebook page and via email to club members, pending weather and Trip Leader availability. Tongariro Summit Weekend 2016

Following on from the success of our Mt Ngauruhoe winter summit last year, this time we will be aiming to summit Mt Tongariro! President’s Desk If you haven’t seen them already, do take a look at the photos on the club’s Facebook page of the huge avalanche that swept down through Hongis last Saturday night; certainly generating a lot of comment! The only Level Two Snowcraft Course has now been held and Chris tells me both Level One courses are fully booked.
